One of the most valuable benefits Ocaquatics offers to our team members is the Financial Literacy, I have used SmartDollar and Khan Academy and both have really helped me understand how to create and manage a budget in a practical and realistic way.
What I’ve learned is that financial planning is not only about paying off debt, but also about being intentional with your future. It’s about finding balance between taking care of responsibilities while also planning for the things that matter in life.
For example, this mindset has helped me prepare for meaningful goals like our trip to Greece last year, and also plan ahead for my daughter’s 15th birthday next year.
I’ve realized that it is absolutely possible to be responsible with money while still enjoying life and creating special experiences. It really comes down to being organized, consistent, and having a clear purpose for your finances.
If anything, I hope my experience encourages others to see financial literacy not as a restriction, but as a tool, one that helps reduce stress, build stability, and still leave space for the things that bring joy to life.
I am very grateful to Ocaquatics for offering this resource to the team.
