My Ocaquatics Impact story is a little different.
I'm a proud parent of an Ocaquatics swimmer. My daughter, Francesca, started lessons in January 2023 after a terrifying experience at just 17 months old. While at an outdoor birthday party, she tried to jump into a pool. Thankfully, the pool was protected by a safety net that caught her. That moment made us realize just how important water safety truly is.
Since then, Ocaquatics has given our family so much more than swim lessons. It has given Francesca confidence, independence, and a genuine love for the water. Watching her grow from a Parent & Me class to Level 4 has been incredible, and knowing she has the skills to stay safe in and around water gives us priceless peace of mind.
What I never expected, however, was the community we would find.
The families we've met at Ocaquatics have become some of our closest friends. Those weekly conversations with other parents helped our family feel at home in a new community. In fact, during one of those chats, someone asked where we were looking to buy a house. Overhearing Harper's mom, Liz, mentioned they were moving to Connecticut and selling their home. That conversation ultimately led us to finding the home where we're now raising our family.
It's this sense of community that often goes unspoken but has made just as much of an impact on my life. These are the parents I turn to for advice without fear of judgment, whether it's navigating toddler behavior, choosing the right kindergarten, or finding the best pediatric dermatologist for my infant son. They're the people who have shown up with recommendations, support, and encouragement exactly when I needed it.
We're incredibly thankful to be part of the Ocaquatics Tropical location and look forward to many more years of swimming, growing, and building friendships together.
I couldn't resist, I attached Francesca's first and latest level up photos!
Thank you for all you do!
